Volkswagen Headquarters, and a good portion of Wolfsburg residents, are going to be evacuated this weekend for the removal of an undetonated WWII era allied bomb. The bomb is apparently left over from the one of the many allied runs on the factory. Many undetonated WWII era bombs have been found over the years, but modern technology has made locating them much easier in recent years.
The digging is expected to begin in the early morning hours on Sunday and will cut off access to local roads, train stations, foot paths and even autobahn exits in the surrounding area.
If we hear nothing from Volkswagen officials on Monday morning then we should probably be a little worried.
