I know that everyone has been on the edge of their seats wondering if Detroit Electric, the start-up electric car company that has no ties with Detroit except a simple regional marketing office, still exists. Well I have absolutely great news! Not only do they still exist, but according to their website, they plan on producing a whole line of cars to cater to the needs of the masses.

What seems to be the simple silhouette of what seems to be a coupe, sedan, and even (gasp!) an SUV. It’s funny to see such ambitious manufacturing plans from a group that still doesn’t seem to have their Tesla Roa... Lotu... I mean... the SP:01 roadster publicly available yet.

In the company’s defense, it seems that they are focusing on the Chinese market for initial sales and even manufacturing. However, it’s quite the scale-back from their initial promise of Detroit engineered and manufactured electric cars for the masses.
